Job Title: Manager

The Manager – Risk is responsible for assisting in effective implementation of risk management frameworks and building a strong risk culture. This involves executing policies, processes, thresholds, and controls to ensure:
Prompt risk identification
Accurate risk measurement
Effective risk mitigation
Assist Chief Risk Officer (CRO) in implementing risk management frameworks and culture.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for project investments and monitor exposures throughout the lifecycle.
Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to assess project financial viability and recommend mitigation strategies.
Prepare agenda items for submission to CRO.
Support CRO in vetting credit products/programs/schemes for business operations.
Ensure compliance with company policies and review effectiveness of risk controls.
Assist in ICAAP (Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process) preparation and continuous monitoring.
Establish early warning/trigger systems for breaches of risk appetite or limits.
Develop risk reporting dashboards for ALCO, Risk Management Committee, and Board of Directors.
Handle additional responsibilities assigned by CRO.
Post-graduate degree in Business Administration (MBA – Finance preferred).
Candidates with CA, FRM, or CFA qualifications preferred.
Minimum 2 years overall experience in a Bank / AIFI, with at least 4 years in risk management.
Ability to work in cross-functional teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
In-depth understanding of risk-related and treasury functions, including policies, valuation methodologies, and risk models.
Knowledge of accounting concepts, capital adequacy, and financial statements.
Strong understanding of different risk types.
Expertise in model/data construct and frameworks for model development.
Ability to analyze and interpret trends/patterns in data sets using statistical tools.
Proficiency in IT/software tools (SQL, SAS, Python, MS Excel, MS Power BI).
Prior experience with expected credit loss computation under IFRS/US GAAP.
